“Dude! I am his best friend!” Tommy nearly screamed at Detective Lance after half an hour of ‘no’ from the desk sergeant, “Why can’t I see him?”
Tommy scowled at her. He had been trying to be charming and entertaining. If most of his stories centered around Oliver Queen it was only because they had been attached at the hip for years until Oliver had gotten on Queen’s Gambit and gotten himself lost for five years.
He watched as Oliver slid open a door to the old Queen Industrial Steel factory. The place had not fared as well as Ollie in the past five years. The buildings around were dilapidated and weather-worn. All he could think was ‘What a dump!’
He tried as best he could to keep people from coming up from behind Oliver when they went through the media frenzy once they got to the courthouse. He’d discarded his leather bomber in the car and looked like a regular Joe, so nobody noticed that he was helping with a protection detail…even Oliver.
